Simultaneous dual-presenter screen sharing in Teams

Introduction
Microsoft is developing a feature that lets two presenters share their screen or a window at the same time in a Teams meeting, referenced under roadmap item 80239. General availability is expected starting November 2026, with a worldwide rollout on Teams Desktop and Web.
The problem it solves
Until now, only one screen share can be active at a time in a Teams meeting. Comparing the content of two presenters, a document and a dashboard for example, requires stopping the current share, letting the other presenter start theirs, then switching back to return to the first one. This rotation quickly becomes tedious in demo or troubleshooting meetings with several presenters.
The upcoming feature lets two presenters share their screen or a window at the same time, without going through this sequence of stops and restarts.
note
What’s still to be clarified
At the time of writing, Microsoft hasn’t mentioned any administrator or meeting organizer control to disable simultaneous sharing. This may change as the feature gets closer to general availability, along with the details on how it behaves across different meeting scenarios.
Conclusion
Dual-presenter screen sharing addresses a request raised for several years, amplified by the rise of remote work. Organizations that run demo or multi-presenter content review meetings should keep an eye on the feature’s progress toward November 2026, particularly on the governance controls still missing from the announcement.
